About Alexandra Seastrunk, LMFT
I became a therapist out of curiosity about the inner world and a personal understanding of how disorienting life can feel. My own struggles and experiences shape the way I listen and relate.
My approach addresses both present challenges and the deeper patterns, including early experiences, that construct your experience of yourself. This type of personal exploration creates the opportunity for insight, self-understanding, and meaningful change.
My Philosophy & Background
My style is warm, intuitive, and thoughtful. I value your autonomy, and do not view myself as the expert on your life; my role is to help you slow down and listen to your own voice more clearly.
I have a decade of clinical experience working in diverse settings, including substance use treatment, college mental health, and group practice. I believe that a therapist can only go as deep with a client as they have gone within themselves. Because of this, my own therapy and personal self-reflection are a central part of my life and practice.
Outside the Office
Outside of my work, I value a slower, intentional pace of life. As an introvert, I enjoy drinking coffee, reading books, discovering new music, growing succulents, and watching movies. I feel most grounded in nature, especially near the ocean or the mountains.
I live with my partner, and we are parents to a shy, yet playful teenage cat, who keeps our home lively and full of character.
