About Alex
I became a therapist out of a deep curiosity about the inner world and a personal understanding of how painful and disorienting life can sometimes feel. My own lived experience with the kinds of struggles I now support others through has shaped the way I listen and relate to others.
I practice from a relational, depth-oriented perspective, focusing on both your current concerns and the deeper patterns, early experiences, and emotional themes that shape your inner life. This approach values complexity and meaning, creating space for insight and self-understanding to emerge.
My style is warm, intuitive, and thoughtful. While I bring clinical training and perspective, I don’t see myself as the expert on your life. My role is to help you slow down and notice your own voice more clearly.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, and questions of self-worth. Over the past decade, I’ve supported individuals in diverse settings, from substance use treatment and college mental health to group private practice.
Education
I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
A Little More About Me
Outside of my work as a therapist, I value a slower, more intentional pace of life. I’m an introvert who enjoys books, music, and film. I feel most grounded in nature, especially near the ocean. I live with my partner and our sweet tortoiseshell cat, who keeps our home lively and full of character. These parts of my life help me stay connected to what matters and bring balance to my work.
